I have the hardest time naming things. My go to is behindthename for characters. But countries spells and things can be hard as heck. I recall seventh sanctum being a good resource and it probably still is. What are your favorite generators for naming things, or do you have a creative method that doesn't involve websites? |

I'm pretty particular about names so naming can be difficult for me as well. D': Behind the name has awesome information/meanings of names and I can't tell you how many times I also use seventh sanctum.  Another one I like to use is Fantasy name generators, which not only has names, but also has some really great generators for naming objects and places. (They have soooo many generators, it's wild, lol) With cultural names for non-fantasy things, I've recently been picking common names by watching movies/visiting wiki or census pages and picking out a name from there. It's relieving when I know that there are people out there sporting the name, so it wouldn't sound strange to people who are familiar with the language. |
